Publishing Services
I can prepare your manuscript for publication and get it published as a paperback and an e-book! The publisher charges only for the books, usually around $3.00 each, depending on the length, no set up charges.
I have prepared several books using this process. These are now available for purchase on the Internet and through book stores.
The real advantages of this method of publishing are
1. the control you/we have over how the book looks and
2. the nominal cost, rather than thousands of dollars that some self-publishing companies want.
You can see the books I have prepared on THIS WEBSITE, under "Books." All are available as e-books (Kindle) and two are available in print (Amazon). Two others can be viewed at wvlandscape.com. These are available through Amazon and Kindle.
In addition to organizing your digital manuscript for printing and preparing the cover, I can offer editing services, if you desire.
{For those of you who feel you have a novel inside you, but just cannot get started, DaltonArts also offers instruction on how to write a novel, and most importantly, how to get started.}
BASIC COSTS FOR THESE SERVICES
For preparation for printing of a book (up to 300 pages) and preparation of a standard color cover--$200.
$50 as a deposit at the beginning of the project
$50 after completion of the text formatting
$50 after completion of the cover
(Note: you will incur a small charge, around $10, to receive the printed proof copy.)
$50 when we label the book as finished and make it available for sale
As no two projects are the same, pricing can vary. Extra charges for extensive editing, which is quite time consuming, and for more than fifty changes in the proof copy. Children's books that are quite short and have all the art work scanned in could be negotiated at a lower price. (However, remember that your copies will cost more if there is color in the interior.)
Tutorials on writing begin at $20/hour.
